We design, publish and maintain software from Switzerland.
Helvecraft is an independent studio. It handles product, engineering and support directly.
Customers should understand what the software does, where their data is and who answers when help is needed.
One person follows the whole path.
Helvecraft is an independent studio. The person who writes the code is the person who answers the email: there is no first line of support filtering, and no form that opens a ticket in a queue.
That means two things. A request reaches the person who can build it. And there are not eighty of us: what goes into the product goes in because it serves someone, not because it fills a cell in a feature comparison.
From request to release.
We define the task, build the shortest flow, verify the standards and maintain the published version.
Clear interfaces, precise tasks.
Every feature should help complete a real task without adding complexity.
Maintainable, verifiable technology.
We choose stable tools and technical checks suited to software used every day.
Direct email with the developer.
Write to the studio and receive an answer from someone who knows the product.
Local data and optional sync.
The products prioritise work on the device; when available, synchronisation remains a choice.
Six releases in the last week.
There is no release calendar. There is a list of things that are not good enough yet, and it gets shorter.
Fixed now
A defect we find does not wait for next month. If the fix is ready and the checks pass, it ships.
Before every release
Six hundred and sixty-eight automated checks, plus the ones that actually open the program and look at the result.
Everything is written down
What changed and why, at length in the public release history. Including when the fix is embarrassing.
Nothing breaks quietly
Before publishing, an invoice PDF is compared with the previous version’s, byte for byte.
We say it, fix it and write it down.
Invoicing software touches numbers that end up in a VAT return and in annual accounts. An error there is not an annoyance: it is a wrong document sent to a client.
So a confirmed defect gets fixed and told, with the detail of what it miscalculated and since when. In August an accounting review found seventeen: all fixed, all described.
Direct contact.
For partnerships, press or questions about the studio, write to info@helvecraft.com. A person will answer.
Write to the studio and the person who builds the software answers, not a switchboard. Usually within one working day, in Italian, German, French, English or Spanish.
